1-CONTENU du site web : Wikipédia est une encyclopédie ouvert a tout le monde ce qui veut dire que n'importe qui pourrait y écire ce dont il a envie . Cela produit donc souvent certaine information fausses et inutiles mais certaines d'entres elles peuvent etre totalement vraies !
2-PRÉSENTATION du site web : Wikipedia n'est pas très organiser sur un point de vue historique et de recherche , parfois le sujet que vous voulez rechercher ne se trouve pas dans le site ou les information sont redigées dans le désordre , c'est a dire que souvent certaines informations sont placée avant d'autres alors que c'est informations devraient etre après - ( exemple de disfonctionnement de ce site )
3-MON AVIS sur ce site : je pense que ce site de recherche libre n'est pas au point et aux demandes attendues du lecteurs .En faisant cette critique , je me suis rendue compte que ce site web "Wikipédia " n'est pas valable . Wikipedia can be a really useful website but at the same time, this is a website where anyone can add information, right or wrong. I personally like wikipedia because you can find information on any topic and in a lot of different languages but I know that, when doing a presentation, i should use different kinds of websites to verify my information. You can never trust one website, you have to try to compare it to other ones to certify your facts. I have always used wikipedia and i have never been disappointed on the results that this website has given me, but from my teachers advice, I have learned to check my info. I will keep on using wikipedia and i recommend you to use it too but always with PRECAUTION!!!!

Les informations peuvent être poster par n’importe qui et ne sont pas toujours vérifier, il peut donc y avoir des fausses informations sur des sujets qui vous intéresse et donc qui peut vous menez en erreur,pour les étudiant,ou avoir une mauvaise note. Il y a aussi certaines pages qui sont protégé et qui ne peuvent donc pas être modifier par n’importe qui.
Exemple de pages protégées: Barack Obama, Nicola Sarkozy, Michael Jackson. Je déconseille donc de l’utiliser car il peut y avoir des informations vrais comme fausse.

I believe that Wikipedia is a accurate website to do a research paper on because it is very useful to get information and all misleading and wrong information is deleted and removed from the site, but it is possible that the site can overlook serious mistake causing a lot of confusion around the world because it is a universal website that a lot of people use.I think that they can overlook mistakes because what if the article that is wrong is not noticed until two years later, then it would of been too late and that false information can go in a lot of peoples research paper. For my tribe research I got a lot of my information off of Wikipedia and it all seems accurate but how do I know for sure. That is why I recommend to not only go on Wikipedia pages where anyone can write anything anonymously but on a site where it is not anonymous and you can research the person who wrote the article and see if that person is a accurate source for your paper.

Wikipedia est a la fois un site très utile car il contient beaucoup d'information sur presque n'importe quel sujet, mais aussi un site ou n'importe qui a la possibilité d'ajouter ce qu'ils pensent du sujet, comme par exemple: des informations fausses. Je ne veux pas dire que Wikipedia est un site que nous devons pas utiliser, au contraire, c'est un site superbe qui contient énormément d'informations que ça soit sur des biographies, des événements historiques, des monuments etc... En revanche, Wikipedia ne devrait pas être utiliser comme site principal pour une rédaction, un article, un projet etc... Car c'est un site ou quiconque peut ajouter des informations, et souvent, ces informations ne sont pas vérifiées/corrigées, même si il y en a des sujets connus qui sont vraies. Et c'est difficile de dire quand elles sont correctes ou quand elles sont fausses, a part quand c'est évident, bien sur. Par contre, dans des cas particuliers, des personnes mettes leurs perspectives, leurs pensées sur le sujet qui ne sont pas forcement fausses, mais qui peuvent ne pas vous aider. C'est pour cela que je vous propose que l'information tirée de Wikipedia doit être vérifier, comparer avec d'autres sites. Si vous utiliser Wikipedia couramment et principalement avec aucun autres sites comme sources d'informations, votre notes, croyances, pensées peuvent vous décevoir. Ca m'arrive aussi quand je pose une question a mon père sur un sujet, il me dit souvent d'aller sur Wikipedia, et de trouver la réponse moi-même, mais je ne sais pas si ce que je trouve est vraie donc faites attention !!!

Wikipedia can be on one hand extremely useful and on another hand unreliable for the following reasons: Wikipedia usually does have correct basic information however because this specific site, like many other web pages is open for anyone to edit (self published), it makes most people question the authority of this online recourse center. Wikipedia pages are not always wrong or right but it varies depending on the subject of this page and the author. An example of a way one might find if this specific page on Wikipedia will be useful and reliable is to research the name of author (if it is stated) to find the qualification(s) of this person. One might ask themselves does this person have a degree in (whatever the subject you may be searching for) or how old this person is. Another way one may further their knowledge on a certain subject would be, after questioning the probability of the facts stated on the page, further research this subject in books or on different websites to then compare these facts. This further demonstrates how important it is not to only depend on Wikipedia, and not just with this specific site, but with many web pages. A very significant part of doing research is thoroughly checking how accurate these facts are.

D'un côté, c'est bien pour rechercher une petite information, juste pour savoir un peu près ce que c'est que cette recherche, mais si on veut vraiment avoir beaucoup d'informations sur la recherche je ne conseillerai pas d'utiliser Wikipedia car n'importe qui peut modifier les information et le moindre détail peut être faut. Moi je vais souvent sur wikipedia juste pour me renseigner sur un petit détail mais je ne l'utiliserai pas ces informations pour faire un project. Pour être sur d'une information, il faudrait mieux aller voire plusieurs sources internet pour verifier l'information. Il y a beaucoup de sites internet sur lesquelles il faut faire attention, il n'y a pas que wikipedia !

Wikipedia is a useful website for general information but it is not entirely reliable because anyone can post anything on it. Wikipedia itself says "We do not expect you to trust us." adding that their own website is "not a primary source because some articles may contain errors". Wikipedia later adds that you should "not use Wikipedia for critical decisions. This proves that Wikipedia is not reliable because the encyclopedia site says so themselves.
Anyone can post on Wikipedia, wiki sites are sites that allow anyone to modify, add or delete content. Most of the time, the authors do not add their names on the article, which prevents you from doing additional research on the author's qualifications. You don't know who is posting this information, generally it is true, but it can also be false. The worst part is you have no way of proving whether it is true or false. Certain major pages are protected but the majority are not, anyone can edit them.
Wikipedia is very useful for general information, to understand your topic better before you go deep into the research, but it certainly CANNOT be used as a primary source or even worse an only source. Wikipedia is only a starting point for you to branch out using more reliable sources that are written by authors with high qualification.
There are ways you can figure out whether the Wikipedia page is accurate. Generally, there are sources in blue at the bottom of the page, check those sources and see if they're reliable (If the sources are from another wiki page, then the source is clear NOT valid!). Many people/students use Wikipedia for research. If it’s for a presentation for work, a project for school or even just for self knowledge. Does it necessarily mean that it is correct or at least accurate? Wikipedia is great starting point for research but that’s about it. Wikipedia is a website that is not proofread, neither has anything been proven to be correct. Jimmy Wales’s (creator of Wikipedia) intentions were harmless, "Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That’s what we're doing." His goal were for the world to have access to all human knowledge but Wikipedia is not always correct but does have good elements. In conclusion, Wikipedia is not the most excellent resource for information but remains a popular and an accurate resource for beginners.

WIkipedia is frequently used for school work to just wanting to know a simple fact. What we do not know is if it is a reliable source. It is somewhat reliable but somewhat untrue. This source is reliable because it is like any other research website. Why not trust Wikipedia? On the other hand, it is unreliable because anyone can edit it and upload facts that are not necessarily true. In my opinion Wikipedia can be correct and useful for simply writing one fact or just knowing in general of when someone was born, but I do not recommend using WIkipedia for an important essay. This could lead to getting points off for a fact that could have been correct if you used a different source. Because Wikipedia is a website where the public is able to edit the information, it will show the opinion and bias of the editor. It is an extremely good source for a public opinion. Even though the facts may be untrue, everyone should still consider using Wikipedia as a reference. I know that I will definitely carry on using Wikipedia as a somewhat valid source, but I will probably not use it in the next couple of months as I am writing an incredibly detailed and accurate research paper for US History.

Wikipedia is a somewhat useful website on the internet that is used to find information about almost anything imaginable. You can go on wikipedia using a computer, ipad, iphone, laptop or anything else that you can access google on. I sometimes use Wikipedia to find information when I write my research papers for school or whenever I just want to have some basic knowledge about a subject that i priorly had not known much about. Right now you must be thinking to yourself “ OMG THIS IS THE BEST WEBSITE IN THE WORLD!!!” But you have to be careful about what what you read on the Wiki because anybody in the world could make a page on the site that is viewable by the public. Meaning that some people may not actually know what they are talking about, thus giving false information to citizens that read their page. Since hearing about this I always make sure to check with other websites other than Wikipedia to make sure my information is true and useful.

Wikipedia is a rather popular website and very often used for researches. I have to admit that in 6th grade I would use it for most of my researches but now after hearing so many rumors that anyone can edit Wikipedia and it is not 100% guaranteed to be full on correct information. The truth is, which I have revealed throughout several years of class and research, is that anyone can edit the Wikipedia page by simply clicking on the ‘edit’ icon. Wikipedia is still very useful for writing essays for the simple reason that before you start the essay or research you can read a Wikipedia document to get the basic idea of what going on with your subject. Another good thing about it is that many actual biographers or people that actually know what they’re saying can post good and useful information. All I can conclude is that Wikipedia is an ok website to use but you can not write a good essay if it is the only website you are focusing on and using.

Wikipedia was founded by Jimmy Wales with the idea that it should be an online encyclopedia where everyone can immerse themselves with new knowledge. It continues to grow everyday with new articles on events, people, and places. An edit icon can be found on the site and was created for those who knew more on any one of the 8.2 million articles + in over 253 languages to add what they know. Unfortunately, because of this some of the information may be false. This leads to the precedent fact that if you want to go in depth in a certain topic, Wikipedia shouldn’t be your only source. Even though not everything found on Wikipedia is true it still offers a broad sense of any chosen topic and gives you somewhere to start your research. It also lists links for people to verify the information given. In all, Wikipedia is an astonishing website that offers basic information and as long as your research doesn’t stop on a Wikipedia page it can be very useful to start to learn a bit on your topic.

Personnellement je trouve que les infos Wikipedia peuvent être utilisées si on fait plus de recherches pour confirmer. Dans Wikipedia, l'auteur de l'article choisi une langue, par exemple espagnol, tous ceux qui font des recherches en français vont faire une traduction et Wikipedia va tout traduire l'article mot par mot pour devenir un article incompréhensible. C'est articles ne sont pas vérifiés, donc rien est exact.

Many controversies have presented themselves with the creation of the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia, in 2001. For example the debate whether information is valid or not has come up numerous times for the simple reason that anyone “can edit the text without needing approval, or may do so with a registered account or even anonymously.” However, the site does claim to have a “vandalism” policy that tries to prevent individuals from purposely expressing false information. Unfortunately this is not always effective. In my opinion and many others’, Wikipedia is an extremely useful site for getting to know a subject or getting a brief overview of a topic. In addition Wikipedia offers, at the bottom of each article, many links used in writing the article or in reference to the article. Therefore even if one does not fully trust the information on the specific article, a list of sources dedicated to the topic is provided. Moreover, one should use their proper intuition; if an article does not seem legitimate, verify the facts with other sources. Instead of using Wikipedia for details, the site should be used as a base for other research. All in all Wikipedia can be a valid site; nonetheless one should be precautious at all times. And remember, the site should not be labeled as invalid for what a few senseless individuals have typed.

Overall, I believe that Wikipedia should be used, but never as a sole or primary source.

Woher will man wissen wer auf diese seite was geschrieben hat
. Manche Seiten auf Wikipedia kann mann vertrauen aber es gibt natürlich auch Seiten denen mann nicht unbedingt vertrauen kann. Ich persönlich vertraue nicht Wikipedia aber jeder Mensch hat eine andere Meinung. Ich vertraue Wikipedia nicht weil ich nicht einfach Leuten glaube die vielleicht einfach mal so aus Langeweile irgendetwas auf diese Seite schreiben weil sie denken dass sie genügend darüber wissen. Ich finde es ja nicht schlimm oder so aber dann sollten sich diese Leute eine eigene website erstellen und es nicht auf eine web schreiben wo jeder das sehen kann und viele Leute glauben das dann natürlich auch, die sind dann falsch informiert und geben das an andere weiter.
Ich benutze Wikipedia eigentlich nur für Präsentationen oder Vorträge, wenn diese Nachforschung wirklich intensiv ist gehe ich dann auch noch auf andere webs um diese information zu überprüfen
. Beispielsweise für diese Forschung werde ich auf keinen fall nur Wikipedia benutzen!

Wikipedia is reliable and not reliable. First wiki is a Hawaiian word which means quick in English and pedia comes from the word encyclopedia. Wikipedia means quick encyclopedia. Wikipedia is a good site if you only want to read brief information to know a bit more on the subject you have chosen or you want to know something easily. For example I want to know around when the Eiffel Tower was created, it will give me an answer and I’ll say it was built around that time. Since it is free everyone around the world can read it in 238 different languages. It also has around 30 million articles though not in every 238 different languages. Wikipedia is also not an amazing site to look up all your information because it can be edited by anyone who has access to the site. If you have an account you can change anything. This site is not good if you are writing an essay. You can’t write an essay based on your research on Wikipedia. You can’t write an essay were your information is only based on Wikipedia. The information is not checked so some information could be wrong. I read that they do their best to delete the wrong articles on Wikipedia. I also read this quote “In May 2005, a user edited the biographical article on John Seigenthaler Sr. so that it contained several false and defamatory statements.” We can conclude that Wikipedia is good for free, brief information but not as well for an entire essay.

Is wikipedia a good source of information?
Wikipedia is a website that consists of many facts about people, companies, and even objects. I find that Wikipedia is a hard subject to talk about because the website has many facts that are false. The reason is that almost anyone can change the facts of an article on Wikipedia. The reason I think Wikipedia can be used is because in the references section of the subject you can find the places all these facts are coming from. These website are qualified most of the time. Wikipedia is used all over the world so I think most of the facts are true. As I said before this website can contain many false and very untrue facts about the subject the author is talking about. I use this website on my researches when I am looking for basic information abut the subject I am researching. To conclude, Wikipedia is a website for basic info and finding more sources.

Is Wikipedia a source, usable for research?
I think that Wikipedia is a great source to get some basic information and general information (such as where, when…) But going into lots of detail (how, why…) it would be a better idea to find a valid site. The problem that most people encounter while using Wikipedia is that anyone can add or take away information as long as they have an account. The main problem is that there are NO restrictions whatsoever in creating a Wikipedia account. All one has to do is type in their requested username, password and a quick CAPTCHA to make sure they are human! I myself created a wikipedia account while writing this reflection to see if there was anything else that would prevent me from editing. I found out there is nothing and I had received the authorization to change around a wikipedia document just by a few clicks. In all honesty, I think that Wikipedia is a great site and a great idea, but, there should be restrictions to creating an account. Such as having to put your address or maybe having to pay a small fee every month.

Wikipédia, un source valable?
Moi je crois que Wikipédia est une source valable pour commencer ces recherches. Si moi, je recherche sur les hopis ,je vais aller d’abords sur Wikipédia, trouver des informations solides comme les danses, les types de maisons etc… après je vais aller sur un site .gov ou .org ou .com si c’est connu comme National geographic online, ou history.com etc… Sur ces sites tu vas trouver des informations plus «dedans » ou « loin ». Mais personne ne dit que Wikipédia est toujours vrai> En effet,tout le monde peut aller sur Wikipédia et taper quelque chose qui est faux. Vous DEVEZ utiliser des autres sites pour valider l’information. Quelquefois, Wikipédia peut aussi être très bien comme l'article sur les hopis qui était très vrai, il y avait même plus d’informations que sur des sites valables. Tu peux aussi regarder l’auteur du documentaire et voir s'il est un personne connue ou quelqu’un qui veut juste s'amuser et dire des choses fausses. Un autre façon pour savoir si l’informations est valable sur Wikipédia c'est de voir si les personnes qui mettent des commentaires en bas des pages wikipedia.

Wikipedia is a site that contains plenty of information on any given topic you choose to research. However, it does have it's problems. It may give you basic information on your chosen topic, but once someone is able to get their hands on all the valuable information that may be necessary for you and your research, you may encounter many different problems and issues. Several people are able to access Wikipedia pages and at any given time are able to change the information contained in the article chosen for research. Nobody has proof of the truthfulness in the change made, and therefore the information that has been edited will never be categorized as a true statement. For more information that goes into detail about your current topic, Wikipedia may not be the best place to go. This is what makes Wikipedia a non valid site. On the other hand, Wikipedia has some great points. It is a good starting point for any kind of research, and it may also provide useful information that will get you better "acquainted" with the current topic that you have chosen. In this particular case, Wikipedia is a good site. To conclude, Wikipedia is a good site to start your research, but it may not be the best to get details from.

Wikipedia n'est pas un site très reliable. Il y a beaucoup d'informations mes elles ne sont pas toujours vrai car n'importe qui peut les changer. La plus pat du monde peut accéder wikipedia et peuvent changer les informations, pour des informations moins vrai. Wikipedia est quand meme un bon site pour commencer ses recherches, après avoir trouvé une information il faut la vérifié. A la fin de la page de wikipedia on peut trouver les sources utiliser ce qui peut aussi nous aider pour notre recherche. Wikipedia est un très bon site pour le commencement d'un exposer mais un exposer ne peut jamais être former entièrement d'informations provenant de wikipedia. On peut conclure que ce n'est pas un site valide mais c'est bien de l'utiliser quand meme, il faut toujours verifier les informations.
